Our Programmes
1. Practical skills / Vocational Training programmes
TATCO Uganda sets up vocational training centre to provide practical training courses to the youths and women e.g in Tailoring, Music, Computer studies, Carpentry and Joinery, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Bakery and Art and craft all tailored at empowering the beneficiaries with skills that can be used to create jobs and generate income.
a. Tailoring.
In the 1 year certificate program, students learn basic tailoring skills including sketching, stitching, pattern cutting, pedal sewing machine operation and machine maintenance. During the course of the program, students learn to sew a sport shirt, standard tunic shirt, Kaunda suit shirt, butterfly shirt, fashion blouse, trousers, sport shorts, pleated shorts, nursery uniform, school uniform, wrapper skirt, pencil skirt, choir gown, Gomesi, apron and overalls. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work in a tailoring workshop or teach tailoring in a limited capacity
b. Computer:
In this certificate program, students receive a complete introduction to the computer and the Windows operating system. They learn several software packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Students learn basics of computer maintenance and how to use the Internet. Finally, students apply their knowledge and skills by creating business letters, advertisements, and identity cards. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work in secretarial bureaus, offices, or begin their own business.
c. Art and Craft:
This also a 1 year certificate course with students learning the elements of art, principles of design, color theory, and basic drawing. They will also learn painting, collage, mosaic, ceramics, sculpture, and graphics. Students will produce several forms of crafts, such as hats, mats, bags, and wall decorations, from local materials like banana fibres, natural dyes, bark cloth, sisal, etc. Upon completion, graduates are prepared to work as artists in their own capacities.
d. Music
With the coordination with local and already established music training centres near by our area of scope, we have partnered with them and we take our young musicians for a free training where they get skills in playing musicals instruments, writing and reading music, music composing and production, we train them also in stage performance , MCs and Djs. This at the end creates them employment by becoming Club DJs, music producers, band trainers and music composers hence their income levels increased.
2. Early Child Development and Primary Education Development Programmes
Early childhood, specifically the period between birth and two years of age, is the time when the brain develops the most rapidly and has a high capacity for change. It is a critical window of opportunity for establishing the foundation for good health, education and optimal productivity for the future. Early Childhood Development (ECD) refers to the physical, cognitive, linguistic, and socio-emotional development of a child from the prenatal stage up to age eight. This development happens in a variety of settings (homes, schools, health facilities, community-based centers); and involves a wide range activities from child care to nutrition to parent education. Our organisation is ready to provide the basic ECD Programmes and develop the primary education sector for the vulnerable children from ages 3 to 13 years in our areas of operation.

3. Care and support programmes for the vulnerable sick and Elderly persons.
TATCO Uganda and its partners provide home basic items to the selected sick and elderly persons in the community where we operate periodically with the aim of bringing hope and love to them.
We provide medical support to the sick where our reach can.
We also organise community health camps all tailored at supporting the vulnerable.

4. Livelihood Support Projects / Businesses
TATCO Uganda sets up Livelihood support projects or business to grouped youths and women who have been mentored and trained in business or project management skills in order to create employment and income generation which results into economic development of both the families and community at large where TATCO Uganda operates. The beneficiaries are selected from the community and given business skills and startup capital to manage their businesses with our periodic monitoring and continued mentoring.
